Miss Chan Min Yi Amanda, twenty-six, kick-started her music career at a tender age of thirteen when she was recognized by a well-known music composer, the late Mr Kim Cheong Jun at the prestigious inter-national piano competition. She represented Singapore and bagged the first prize for best soloist and second for all-round performance, losing to London by only a few marks. There, she was approached by Mr Kim and was given a chance to complete her studies overseas and further shape her music potential. This school was where the top pianist from London studied, and this was a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Thus, she joined the Harvard High School of Fine Arts and Music (HHiSFAM). She was taught music composing and arranging together with grade seven music. Excelling in classes, she skipped three grades and was highly recommended by HHiSFAM to join the top music institute in the world, Sarklary University for the Musically Talented (SUMT). There, Miss Amanda took her Masters for music composing and arranging, where she excelled with flying colours. Then, she returned to Singapore to pursue a music based career.
